The Dream Concert 2.0

Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam October 2023

I was invited by The Stedelijk Museum to reflect on my fascination of the incredible Nan Goldin during a day program called ‘Meet the Masters’.
During this program the museum zooms in on the stories of Nan Goldin’s work. Stories about her circle of friends in the 80s in New York, traumatic family stories or about the addiction.

Although her style is very intimate and personal, the themes are universal and powerful.
I built a bed for this event that became a stage for talks, poetry and a live concert!

The Dream Concert- a concept birthed in 2022 during my residency at WORM in Rotterdam. It was such an honour to be able to organise another edition in Amsterdam and invite the very talented @sono.shoeka and @wingihatoon
